The Thrice-Nine Kingdom needs a storyteller! Thrice Told is a fast card battle game inspired by Russian fairy tales. Baba Yaga, Koschei the Deathless, the dragon Zmey Gorynych, the hero Ilya Muromets, Vasilisa the Wise and the Firebird clash across three outposts, and whoever holds two of the three wins the duel.
How it plays
- One match is 6 turns and about three minutes. Perfect for “just one more”.
- You and your opponent play at the same time, then the cards are revealed. Read their move and outwit them.
- You get more charms ✦ every turn: start with Kolobok the Bun and Ryaba the Hen, finish with mighty heroes and the three-headed dragon.
- Every outpost has its own rule: in the Hut on Hen’s Legs all cards grow stronger, the Kalinov Bridge fits only two cards, and at the Milk River the LOWER power wins.
- 24 fairy-tale cards with their own abilities: draw cards, weaken enemies, or shine when standing alone.
Game modes
- A 2-minute tutorial: a wise owl walks you through every rule.
- Play offline vs a bot: 4 opponents from Novice to Storyteller. The bot only sees revealed cards and never cheats.
- Two players on one phone: pass and play.
- Play with a friend online: create a room and share a 5-character code. Nearby friends play over the same Wi‑Fi, distant friends over the internet.
Fair and free
Completely free: no ads, no in-app purchases, no loot boxes, no sign-up. Every card is available from the start, so only your wits decide the outcome. We don’t collect personal data.
Artwork in the style of Palekh lacquer miniatures: black lacquer, gold and cinnabar. A strategy card game for adults and kids, for fans of board games, CCGs and quick tactical duels.
